Seeeduino ADK Main Board works like Arduino Mega 2560 with inbuilt USB Host Shield. Hence, this Main Board can be connected to any USB devices. Users have to write their own drivers for using this feature.

What is Android Open Accessory Development Kit?

The Android 3.1 platform (also backported to Android 2.3.4) introduces Android Open Accessory support, which allows external USB hardware (an Android USB accessory) to interact with an Android-powered device in a special "accessory" mode. When an Android-powered powered device is in accessory mode, the connected accessory acts as the USB host (powers the bus and enumerates devices) and the Android-powered device acts as the device.
Android USB accessories are specifically designed to attach to Android-powered devices and adhere to a simple protocol (Android accessory protocol) that allows them to detect Android-powered devices that support accessory mode. Accessories must also provide 500mA at 5V for charging power. Many prnone;">ADK) compatible:
  • Supports Android v2.3.4 and above devices.
  • Works with Android Debug Bridge (ADB) using MicroBridge :

    Arduino Mini 05 with Atmega328

The Arduino Mini is a small microcontroller board originally based on the ATmega168, but now supplied with the 328, intended for use on breadboards and when space is at a premium. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 8 analog inputs, and a 16 MHz crystal oscillator. It can be programmed with the USB Serial adapter or other USB or RS232 to TTL serial adapter.
The new Mini (revision 05) has a new package for the ATmega328, which enables all components to be on the top of the board. It also has an onboard reset button. The new version has the same pin configuration as revision 04.
Warning: Don't power the Arduino mini with more than 9 volts, or plug the power in backwards: you'll probably kill it.

    Summary

    MicrocontrollerATmega328
    Operating Voltage5V
    Input Voltage7-9 V
Digital I/O Pins14 (of which 6 provide PWM output)
Analog Input Pins8 (of which 4 are broken out onto pins)
DC Current per I/O Pin40 mA
Flash Memory32 KB (of which 2 KB used by bootloader)
    SRAM2 KB
    EEPROM1 KB
    Clock Speed16 MHz

    Programming

The Arduino Mini can be programmed with the Arduino software. For details, see the reference and tutorials.
To program the Arduino Mini, you will need a USB Serial adapter or other USB or RS232 to TTL serial adapter. See the page on getting started with the Arduino Mini for instructions.
The ATmega328 on the Arduino Mini comes preburned with a bootloader that allows you to upload new code to it without the use of an in-system-programmer. The bootloader communicates using the original STK500 protocol .
You can also bypass the bootloader and program the ATmega328 with ICSP (In-Circuit Serial Programming); see the page on bootloading the Mini for information on wiring up an ICSP header to the Mini and the programmer for instructions on using a programmer to upload a sketch.

    Input and Output

Each of the 14 digital pins on the Mini can be used as an input or output. They operate at 5 volts. Each pin can provide or receive a maximum of 40 mA and has an internal pull-up resistor (disconnected by default) of 20-50 kOhms. Pins 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, and 11 can provide PWM output; for details see the analogWrite() function. If anything besides the Mini USB (or other) adapter is connected to pins 0 and 1, it will interfere with the USB communication, preventing new code from being uploaded or other communication with the computer.
The Mini has 8 analog inputs, each of which provide 10 bits of resolution (i.e. 1024 different values). Inputs 0 to 3 are broken out onto pins; input 4 to 7 require soldering into the provided holes. By default the analog inputs measure from ground to 5 volts, though is it possible to change the upper end of their range using the AREF pin and some low-level code.

    TinkerKit Mega Sensor Shield V.2

The Mega Sensor Shield v.2 allows you to hook up the TinkerKit SENSORSand ACTUATORS directly to the Arduino Mega or Mega 2560 or Mega ADK, without the use of the breadboard.
It has 22 standard TinkeKit 3pin connectors. The 10 labeled I0 through I9are Analog Inputs. The ones labeled O0 through O5 are Analog Outputsconnected to the PWM capable outputs of the Arduino Board (it is possible to change these to Digital Inputs, in which case they will report either HIGH or LOW, but nothing in between).

On a Standard Arduino Mega 2560 board the pins are:
Pin 11 on the Arduino Mega is O0 on the shield.
Pin 10 on the Arduino Mega is O1 on the shield.
Pin 9 on the Arduino Mega is O2 on the shield.
Pin 6 on the Arduino Mega is O3 on the shield.
Pin 5 on the Arduino Mega is O4 on the shield.
Pin 3 on the Arduino Mega is O5 on the shield.

    The one labeled IO (D13, D12, D8, D7, D4, D2) are Input / Output pins capable of PWM, digitalRead and digitalWrite. They correspond to Digital 13, 12, 8, 7, 4, 2.

Module description: A green LED signals that the shield is correctly powered.
The 4pin TWI socket allows communication to any device supporting the I2C protocol through the Wire library on Arduino. 5V and Ground are provided on the socket.
4pin SERIAL socket allows the board to communicate with other devices that support serial communication. 5V and Ground are provided on the socket for your convenience.

    ACR1281U-C1 DualBoost II

ACR1281U-C1 DualBoost II is the second generation of ACS’s ACR128 DualBoost Reader. It is a dual interface reader that can access any contact and contactless smart cards following the ISO 7816 and ISO 14443 standards. ACR1281U-C1 DualBoost II enables one to integrate conventionally separate and independent applications for contact and contactless technologies into one device and one card; it can be used for online transactions to settle payments securely using credit cards, and it can also be used for topping up contactless cards via automated fare collection in public transport. It provides the perfect complement to the "All-in-one Card" concept that combines many kinds of smart card applications in just a single card.

The DualBoost Series has PC/SC compliance for both contact and contactless interfaces. It makes use of high-speed communication for contactless cards at a maximum of 848 kbps, which makes it suitable for highly demanding applications. It also provides intelligent support for hybrid and combi cards, such that it detects a contactless card even that has been incorrectly placed in the contact card slot. Lastly, the DualBoost has a built-in SAM slot for added security in both contact and contactless applications.

With additional features such as USB firmware upgradability, contact memory card support and extended APDU support, ACR1281U-C1 DualBoost II is a highly cost-effective, powerful all-in-one device that offers convenience and flexibility to many smart card applications.
