EMBEST: EMBEDDED PI - RPI, ARDUINO-LIKE STM32 I/O BOARD

Embedded Pi is a triple-play platform for Raspberry Pi, Arduino™ and 32-bit embedded ARM. Blending all three communities together, Embedded Pi helps you to get the most out of each platform. ST-Adapter Mode: The Embedded Pi STM32 controls the Arduino™ shields, and the Raspberry Pi works as the GUI or command line console to send commands/data to and receive data from Embedded Pi. This is an advanced mode which extends and strengthens the automation control capability of the Raspberry Pi, taking the advantage of STM32F103 NVIC (Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller), GPIOs, and more peripherals like ADC and PWM.

Raspberry Pi Mode: The Embedded Pi works as a hardware connection bridge between Raspberry Pi and Arduino™ shields, allowing the Raspberry Pi to interface directly with existing Arduino™ shields, having a number of sensors & control to interact with external environment. Raspberry Pi Model B 512MB


The Raspberry Pi® is a single-board computer developed in the UK by the Raspberry Pi Foundation with the intention of stimulating the teaching of basic computer science in schools. The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. The design is based around a Broadcom BCM2835 SoC, which includes an ARM1176JZF-S 700 MHz processor, VideoCore IV GPU, and 128 or 256 Megabytes of RAM. The design does not include a built-in hard disk or solid-state drive, instead relying on an SD card for booting and long-term storage. This board is intended to run Linux kernel based operating systems. 

This is the Raspberry Pi Model B 512MB RAM model with two USB ports and a 10/100 Ethernet controller. Please note some boards are made in the UK, some in China. WE DO NOT KNOW IN ADVANCE WHICH ONES YOU MAY RECEIVE! 

As typical of modern computers, generic USB keyboards and mice are compatible with the Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi use Linux-kernel based operating systems. The Raspberry Pi does not come with a real-time clock, so an OS must use a network time server, or ask the user for time information at boot time to get access to time and date info for file time and date stamping. However a real time clock (such as the DS1307) with battery backup can be easily added via the I2C interface.

Raspberry Pi 3

The Raspberry Pi 3 is the third generation Raspberry Pi. It replaced the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B in February 2016. 

Compared to the Raspberry Pi 2 it has:

We recommend the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B for use in schools, or for any general use. Those wishing to embed their Pi in a project may prefer the Pi Zero or Model A+, which are more useful for embedded projects, and projects which require very low power.

Assembled Gertboard, For Raspberry PI

Gertboard is an input/output (I/O) extension board for the Raspberry Pi computer. It fits onto the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi (the double row of pins on the upper left corner) via a socket on the back of the Gertboard. A bit of care is required when putting the two devices together. It is easy to insert just one row of pins into the socket, but all of the pins need to be connected. The Gertboard gets its power from those GPIO pins, so user will need a power supply for the Raspberry Pi (RPi) that is capable of supplying a current of at least 1A. ADC-DAC Pi

Power to the board is provided through the host Raspberry Pi using the GPIO port. Only one ADC-DAC Pi can be used on a Raspberry Pi but the extended pins on the GPIO connector allow you to stack the ADC-DAC Pi along with other expansion boards.

The A/D and D/A converters communicate with the Raspberry Pi through the SPI interface. 

The ADC-DAC Pi V1.0 is a 2 channel 12 bit analogue to digital converter and 2 channel 12 bit digital to analogue converter designed to work with the Raspberry Pi platform. 

The ADC-DAC Pi is based on the Microchip MCP3202 A/D converter containing 2 analogue inputs with 12 bit resolution with a Microchip MCP4822 dual channel 12-bit DAC with internal voltage reference.

Max ADC Sample Rate: 100 ksamples/sec

Max ADC Sample Rate under Python: 12,000 samples per second.

The ADCDAC Pi is compatible with all Raspberry Pi models.

RPI CAMERA BOARD plugs directly into the CSI connector on the Raspberry Pi. It's able to deliver a crystal clear 5MP resolution image, or 1080p HD video recording at 30fps with latest v1.3. Board features a 5MP (2592 × 1944 pixels) Omnivision 5647 sensor in a fixed focus module. The module attaches to Raspberry Pi, by way of a 15 pin Ribbon Cable, to the dedicated 15 pin MIPI Camera Serial Interface (CSI), which was designed especially for interfacing to cameras.
