Mechanical Kangaroo - Two Leg Jumping Type

Mechanical Kangaroo - Two Leg Jumping Type

Tamiya presents the robot replica of the beloved kangaroo from Australia. This amazing kangaroo-robot jumps by moving its rear legs simultaneously to go forward. When walking slowly, it also uses its front legs (just like they do down under) and when running quickly, it uses its tail for balance. Legs and body on which the gearbox is mounted employ transparent-colored parts, giving the kangaroo a funky look. Reverse switch is also transparent, giving you a peek at the kangaroo's internal mechanisms.

All you need included
Assembly is very simple with use of screws and snap-lock parts. Cable ends are rubber capped with cut areas pre-marked for easy wiring.

When using high-speed gearbox, the kangaroo walks standing on its tail and rear legs.
A gearbox transforms the motor movement to make the kangaroo's rear legs move. You can choose between two different gears for gearbox assembly. When using the low speed gearbox, rods are attached to the lower holes of front legs and kangaroo walks standing on its tail.

Low-speed gearbox makes the kangaroo walk using its front and rear legs
When using the low speed gearbox, rods are attached to the upper holes of front legs. Changing rod position using different holes in the crank plate gives you 4 different speed possibilities within slow speed mode. When walking slowly, it impressively imitates a real kangaroo's movement.

Altering tail position makes kangaroo change direction
Changing the position of the tail allows the kangaroo to keep balance during high-speed running and enables it to change direction. Putting the tail straight will make the kangaroo go straight but setting it to the right/left will make the kangaroo turn to the right/left.

Playing with the Kangaroo
Avoid running over slopes, bumpy roads or longhaired carpet. Run on flat, smooth surfaces. Watching its humorous movement will provide you with loads of fun.

Mechanical Rabbit - Hopping Type

Introducing the 8th wonder of the Tamiya Robocraft series! Get ready, because here comes a super fun to assemble, super fast, super colorful Mechanical Rabbit. Motor rotating power is transferred to the legs via crank plates to make the rabbit hop. The long ears and the rounded face, which have been specially molded, employ semi-transparent parts, giving the rabbit a funky look. Assembly is very simple with use of screws and snap-lock parts.

See-through transparent switch and gearbox
A see-through switch with pink transparent parts adds a cool, futuristic look. Moreover, this feature also allows you to see internal mechanisms.

Battery moved forward for effective movement.
The Mechanical Rabbit is powered by only one R03/AAA/UM4 battery (sold separately) to keep this agile bunny light weight. Motor and battery case have been shifted to the front of the body to allow for smooth, unhindered rear leg movement.

Different movement for front and rear legs to make the rabbit hop.
Motor rotating power is transferred to the legs via crank plates to make the rabbit hop. Rear legs kick the robot forward in a hopping motion similar to that of a...cute little bunny rabbit. As more of the weight is born by the front legs, rollers are attached to the feet to eliminate this extra load.

Running the Rabbit
The mechanical rabbit comes with guides to be attached to both sides of the rabbit so it can be used on Mini 4WD circuits. You can race your friends.
Caution: Run on flat, smooth surfaces. Avoid running over slopes, on bumpy roads or on thick carpet.

Analog Sound Sensor V2

This is an updated version of the Analog Sound Sensor. Analog Sound Sensor is typically used in detecting the loudness in ambient, the Arduino can collect its output signal and actuate accordingly. You may use it to make some funny interactive works such as a "clap and buzz" to find your lost keys or remote control if you add a buzzer. This sensor works best with our sound analyzer module.

As one of our new version of breakout boards, we have improved the analog sound sensor in below:
  • Wide voltage range from 3.3V to 5V
  • Standard assembling structure (two 3mm holes with multiple of 5cm as interval)
